Bluefin introduces iOS SDK for the QuickSwipe

Bluefin Payment Systems has released the QuickSwipe mobile payments Software Development Kit (SDK) for Apple’s iOS for use with iPhones and iPads.

The SDK enables third-party developers to use Bluefin’s PayConex platform in their own Payconexmobile payment applications. PayConex secures merchant transactions with features such as tokenization and transparent redirection, while providing debit card/credit card/ACH processing and recurring billing.

“Our partners are developing their mobile apps at a rapid clip and we wanted to give them a tool that would make the addition of PayConex into their mobile app very quick and simple,” says Tim Barnett, CTO, Bluefin. “The overall value of adding our payment processing engine is that our partners’ clients never have to leave the app to pay, which enhances the overall customer experience.”

According to a report released in June 2013 by research firm Gartner, worldwide mobile payment transaction values are expected to reach $235.4 billion in 2013 – a 44% increase from 2012. Additionally, there were 200.8 million mobile payment users globally in 2012, and that numbers is expected to rise to 245.2 million in 2013.

The SDK is available for download on the Bluefin Payment Systems’ developer page at http://www.bluefin.com/software-integration/developer-resources/.

Bluefin will also introduce their own stand-alone QuickSwipe mobile payment application for software vendors and for merchants in early October.
