This partnership will allow people to quickly shop with Meta Pay on even more websites.

“Now people will be able to use Meta Pay as an easy, secure way to pay in even more places while shopping online,” Stephane Kasriel, who leads commerce, FinTech and Web3 at Meta Platforms said in a tweet.

In 2019, Facebook Pay, renamed as Meta Pay in June, was launched as a unified payments service through which users across Meta’s platforms including WhatsApp and Instagram can make payments without exiting the app.

What this means:

  • J.P. Morgan Payments merchants will now be able to add the Meta button to their websites as a checkout option on both desktop and mobile.
  • Meta’s partnership with J.P. Morgan Payments offers choice for customers and merchants, and further enables people to quickly, easily and securely pay for things on even more of their favourite websites, ultimately streamlining connections between people and businesses.

Meta Pay is also currently available to Shopify merchants in the US and available in nearly 200 countries and territories around the world across Meta technologies.
