BPC Banking Technologies, the leading provider of Open System e-payment solutions for the global financial industry, today announces the launch of Visa payWave products in Credit Dnepr Bank, Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. With this launch, powered by BPC’s SmartVista, the Bank’s customers can enjoy the speed and convenience of contactless payments at POS devices. Low value transactions can be completed in less than a second, without the need for a PIN or signature. The entire project took only three months to complete, including the certification process by Visa.
Credit Dnepr Bank, one of the largest regional banks in Ukraine, has been using SmartVista to power its payment business since 2007. BPC’s SmartIssuer, part of the SmartVista suite, supports full card management including extremely rapid product development, streamlined application processing, comprehensive cardholder servicing and, in conjunction with SmartPro, card personalization and production for all card types, including EMV.
The number of contactless payments devices is constantly growing, enabling customers to use Visa payWave products across Ukraine. The Bank offers to its customers the complete range of Visa card products and as well as a wide range of MasterCard card services.
“We see great interest to payWave in Ukraine and for the last year there is an enormous growth in building the acquiring infrastructure. With our wide range of products, adding Visa payWave was a natural step. It improves customer experience, providing our customers with the ability to make low-value payments quickly and easily. We have relied on BPC for many years, and so we were confident that, with their help, we would be able to launch this new product in a very short period and to the high quality levels our customers expect,” sais Elena Bezuglaya, Officer of Board, Credit Dnepr Bank.
“BPC is delighted to be able to help our clients provide innovative solutions and products. We have considerable contactless technologies expertise and we pride ourselves on bringing our worldwide experience to help our clients launch new payment products and services while significantly reducing costs,” adds Vasily Grigoriev, CEO BPC Banking Technologies.
