UK prepaid solution provider Prepaid Financial Services (PFS) has announced the launch of the Airopay card, the first prepaid MasterCard in Finland. The card is denominated in euros and is available to the public. The card is aimed specifically at loan pay-outs – cardholders can load directly from a bank account using several Finnish banks.

Noel Moran, CEO of PFS, said: “We are delighted to launch yet another first for PFS and MasterCard in the prepaid space. This is now the 18th European country where our products and services are sold. PFS can act as the issuer or as the programme manager for the bank or partner, which speeds up their entry into the marketplace. This is the first product launched on our new multilingual platform and takes advantage of the PFS Middleware enabling programmes to utilise our multilingual capability through our SMS gateway, IVR, cardholder portal and mobile apps”
