Work is re-shaping as the pandemic wanes. We don’t yet know where things will finally land and stick, but what does seem clear is that for many formerly office-based workers, things have changed.
The McKinsey Global Institute’s Future of Work After Covid-19 report estimates that up to a quarter of workers in advanced economies will work permanently on a hybrid basis, with three or more days a week at home on a long-term basis – writes Kirstie McDermott, Senior Content Manager, Amply.
The report also estimates that in the UK, there will be an increase in occupation transitions between pre- and post-Covid-19 scenarios by 2030, of 14%, or around three million people.
