Microsoft has announced in a blog that Microsoft Pay is now integrated with Mastercard’s Masterpass service, allowing you to connect your accounts to streamline online payments.
In bringing the two together, you’ll now be able to have the shipping address and payment information from your Microsoft account automatically filled when checking out with Masterpass online.
“We are always seeking to enhance our users shopping experience in a secure and simple manner and this latest release does that by leveraging the growing Masterpass network,” says Will White, partner group program manager at Microsoft.
“We will continue to seek opportunities to enhance the shopping experience by leveraging standards and working with innovative partners like Mastercard.”
The integration is currently available to US users in the latest version of the Microsoft Edge browser while logged in with your Microsoft account.
Though Masterpass is a Mastercard initiative, it works with any debit or credit card from Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
Users can get started with this new integration by linking their accounts at Microsoft. From there, they look for the Masterpass button when making payments online to have the payment and shipping details automatically applied to the purchase.
