Visa Europe says it is changing V.me by Visa and offering Visa Checkout for online payments for e- and m-commerce.
Visa announced, via its French portal, that it will offer the Visa Checkout service to French
consumers as of early 2016. Visa Checkout will enable consumers to shop around the world and pay online regardless of the medium, in just a few clicks.
From 2016, Visa Checkout will be launched in several European countries. With the emergence of new channels of payment, Visa’s priority is to ensure that Visa cards are the most widely accepted and easily, regardless of how to pay.
Gérard Nébouy, Managing Director of Visa Europe in France, said: “E- and m-commerce continues to grow, there are vast opportunities for merchants and card issuers to provide their customers a choice of quick payments, convenient and safe to make purchases, either with the card, the digital wallet or any other service.
Visa Europe is constantly searching for the best solutions to offer consumers and the entire ecosystem. The rapid adoption of Visa Checkout proves that meets the needs of the market with already more than 6 million users and 250,000 e-merchants using the service in just one year. ”
