Payment processor Equens has launched the ‘SEPAklaar.nl’ [translated, ‘SEPA-ready.nl’] campaign. This campaign is aimed at medium-sized businesses and organisations that
may find themselves under time pressure in migrating their payment traffic to SEPA before 1 February 2014.
‘SEPAklaar.nl’ offers companies conversion services that make the migration quick and easy. Equens’ conversion services use existing formats and reports, which saves businesses and organisations a lot of time, allowing them to focus fully on mandate management and implementing the IBAN account number in their administration and systems.
As from 1 February 2014, payment products in Europe must be harmonised, creating a single euro payments area (SEPA). In order to be compliant, every company or organisation that makes or receives payments must implement changes in its processes and systems. However, some companies have not yet started the necessary migration, even though the changes required are generally very extensive.
